English Abstract

The study of joking is necessary, as it is hated or permissible, which have taken a big place in the life of the Islamic community, both positively and negatively, this is because of spread of technological and electronics although the joking permissible may be blessed with souls, as well as supported according to the norms of society.

However, joking often takes on dimensions that may offend the individual or society in many ways, especially if part of it involves disobedience to the Almighty, or when disseminating false information leads to the intimidation of some people in the joke to make people laugh, or the existence of exploiting a particular circumstance.

Or the result of intrinsic hatred; in order to ridicule others.

This study included a statement about its legitimacy in the Arab-Islamic society, as well as presenting some of the facts mentioned by novels in historical and other sources, based on the historical method to analysis and criticism, in accordance with the sources of legislation, as well as some opinions and statements of Muslim scholars Regarding permissible or forbidding him.

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was joking, but he really says, especially with the boys when caressing them in marbling or reducing their names or replacing them with other names, or servants, including saying (Peace be upon him): O ears.

What was mentioned about the popular jurist (Died: 100 AH/718 AD), that he was walking with his wife, met with a man tailor, and asked him, saying: You popular, he said to him, and this is joking permissible.

The main of this study to educate society in a manner that is consistent with spreading the smile of its borders and time.
