Abstract EN

This research traces the narration of Abdulwarith Ibn Saeed on the authority of Abi Amr in the books of readings that cited this narration with its isnāds ‘chains of transmission’ with the purpose of enumerating and comparing them with the ten qirāʾāt ‘Qur’an readings’ and finding out what aħruf ‘letters’ none of the ten reciters of the Quran had read in his narration, and how these readings deviate from the authorized readings of the Qur’an.

The research has been divided into an introduction, a preface and two sections.

The first section provides a review on Imam Abi Amr as well as the narrator Abdulwarith Ibn Saeed.

The second section deals with the narrations of Abdulwarith Ibn Saeed in the chapter titled “farsh alħurūf”.

The findings of the research revealed that Abdulwarith Ibn Saeed received reading directly from Abi Amr, and his reading was transmitted by others like Al-Qazzaz, Al-Manqari and Al-Qurashi.
