Abstract EN

The study aims to analyze plant production in the governorates of the Asir region, which includes grain crops, open field vegetables, protected vegetables, fruits, and fodder.

Using the descriptive and analytical approach, the current study revealed that the total agricultural areas are 17303.9 hectares, and that the area and production vary from one governorate to another in 2020.

It was also found that plant production reached 202586.9 tons.

Bisha governorate ranked first in production with 70,809.4 tons.

Abha governorate came in second place, with production reaching 23,769.4 tons, followed by Uhud Rafaida governorate with 21,535.9 tons.

Khamis Mushait ranked fourth with 14682.2 tons, while Al-Birk Governorate ranked sixth with a total production of 8315.6 tons.
