Think tanks and research centers are considered an important actor in the policy-making of countries, especially developed ones, due to the importance of scientific research in the progress of nations and their civilized renaissance, and the situation in the Maghreb countries is no different in terms of the role that these centers can play in policy-making and rationalization of political decision-making.

This study seeks to examine the reality of think thanks think thanks in theory as a general framework, focusing on the state of the Maghreb countries and their impact on the policies of these countries, by discussing their relationship with the decision maker and the surrounding environment.

The study concluded by identifying a range of problems and challenges that hinder the role of think tanks and research in the policies of the Maghreb countries, whether those related to the centers themselves or their relationship with their environment and decision-maker in the region, and a set of recommendations to address these obstacles and challenges
