Abstract EN

Interviewing is a widely practiced technique today.

Some even claim that the social sciences have become "the interview sciences", insofar as interview is used in most of these disciplines, either in the individual or collective (group) focus group setting.

Focus groups are open group discussions, organized with the aim of identifying a subject or a series of questions relevant to a research.

However, in general, focus groups are organized for a defined purpose and the focus (focal point) proposed by the researcher is explicit for the participants.

In this article, we will talk about a more structured but no less flexible technique: the "focus group" interview, so we will explain the foundations of this technique, its genesis and the reasons why it can be used in especially social sciences.

Then explain how to select and recruit participants.

In the end, he will give tips on how to conduct this kind of interview.
