The research aims to identify the extent of mathematics teachers' awareness of the elementary stage of the effective teaching skills system and the difficulties of learning mathematics in light of some variables to achieve the goal of the research, the following questions and hypotheses were put forward: -What is the extent of mathematics teachers' awareness of effective teaching skills? -Are there statistically significant differences (0, 05) between teachers' responses in their extent awareness of effective teaching skills that attributable to academic qualification? -Are there statistically significant differences ( 0, 05) between teachers' responses in their extent awareness of effective teaching skills that attributable to years of service? -What are the difficulties in learning mathematics for the sixth grade of primary school? The research was limited to math teachers for the sixth grade of elementary schools affiliated with the education of first karkh, because females are the predominant class of mathematics teachers for the academic year (2020-2021) the research sample consisted of 77 teachers distributed by 35 with a bachelor's degree and 42 with a diploma, the research tools consisted of two questionnaires, the first questionnaire containing two parts, the first for teacher skills and the second for learner skills and an open questionnaire to identify mathematics learning difficulties for the teacher and the learner from the preparation of the researcher
