Abstract EN

This study aims to point out the role of small and medium enterprises in upgrading the level of the Algerian economy, and the possibility of making it an alternative for the revenues of the hydrocarbon sector.

This is what interested authorities by applying many laws and legislations and launching a package of qualification programs to develop this type of institutions.

We reached a number of results through this study, the most important is that Algeria, despite the efforts made, has not yet reached the desired goal, despite the importance of this type of institution in terms of number, in addition to its position in the type of micro-enterprises in the service sector.

This is what made the imbalance prevail over the nature of the Algerian economy geographically or in terms of the integration of activities.
