This study aims to know the role that Facebook has become as one of the new media and a contemporary trend in the development of the local community, through a field study where we chose the Medea Radio page as a model for the study in order to reveal the reality of local development and how to promote it using new media, through Focusing on the use of Medea Radio for Facebook as a tool for the development of its local community, and to address the problem of research and achieve its objectives, the descriptive and analytical method was used, which included a collection of data through a questionnaire distributed on an intentional sample of respondents that includes 60 followers of the official page of Medea Radio on Facebook, and they are also participants in this Page, and the data was then analyzed using SPSS.

Based on the analyzes of the field study, the study concluded with a number of results, the most important of which are: Facebook has become an effective tool and a supportive space for the promotion of the local community, improving the performance of local radio stations and upgrading their public service.

The use of Facebook also has a positive effect on the development of the local community, according to the opinion of the followers of the Medea Radio page on the site.
