Abstract EN

The current research explores the perspective of Banu Abd al-Ashhal, one of the largest 'Ansar' tribes, from Al- Aws in particular, towards the Jews who settled in Al-Madina before the arrival of Banu Abd al-Ashhal when they emigrated to it from Yemen due to the collapse of the Ma'rib Dam with the tribes of Aws and Khazraj.

Accordingly, they settled with the Jews on the terms of good neighborly relations between the two parties.

Nonetheless, after the conversion of Banu Abd al-Ashhal to Islam and the arrival of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to Al- Madina, the Jews took an aggressive standpoint against the Muslims.

Thus, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) called for the necessity of evacuating them from Al -Madina because of their violent aggression and conspiracies against Islam and Muslims.

So, here lies significance of the research, as it deals with the role of Banu Abd al-Ashhal in the answering the call of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in eradicating Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf, the Jewish poet who relentlessly insulted Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in addition to their role in evacuating the Jews from Banu al-Nadir, Banu Quraytha and Banu Qaynuqa from Al- Madina.
