Abstract EN

This study aims to examine the images of death and its many and varied forms in Daliyat Al-Aswad Ibin Yafur.

The poem was divided into three parts, the first of which embodied a perception of the poet's own entity, with the anxiety and insomnia that it contained in his self from many worries and sorrows, which led to the poet's feeling of emptiness and fear of death and its various images from the first moment in that part.

The second part depicts the transition from the poet's own subjective experience or from the inner experience that possessed the poet's mind and being to an external experience related to the poet's external world and his surroundings; This part expressed the strong conflict between the dream of survival and the dominance of death and its eternal power that snatched the souls of kings and greats.

This part ended with self-recognition and its certainty of the inevitability of death.

As for the third and final part, it embodied the self's resistance despite its lost certainty in the second part of the inevitability of death by invoking various forms of life of pride and heroism, the possession of white slave girls, and trekking in liquor bars, but it did not go beyond its crisis with the harsh feeling of the bereavement of death.

The Daliyat Al-Aswad Ibin Yafur, with its three parts, embodied images of death and an attempt to escape from it.
