Abstract EN

This research is concerned with Ketab Almaa ‘Book of Water’ by Abu Muhammad Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Azdi Al-Sahari, in which he combined medicine and language.

He named the book after its first chapter’s title, i.e., “Water”.

The research aims to reveal the scientific level in the book.

It consists of an introduction, a preface, an elaboration of the author's methodology, and the linguistic levels in the book.

It concluded that the book under study contains a large number of language expressions and terms of diseases, medicines, methods of treatment, and the methods used by the author to generate the medical term.

A clear impact of doctors and linguists appeared in the author’s book, as he mixed the scientific method with the literary.
