Abstract EN

With the emergence of Algeria as an Ottoman regency since 1519, a prominent political sphere has begun to form in the western basin of the Mediterranean.

Hence, the political system in the regency has been subject to many shifts and different attractions.

This raises the desire of the researcher to investigate the processions of power under such fluctuations in order to learn about their traditions and norms according to the phases of political rule in Algeria, as well as to compare them with the neighboring Tunisia and Morocco in the Maghreb sphere.

This study is therefore an effort to draw up a picture of the procession for the appointment of the Pasha in Algeria, taking into account the formality of the shifted and the unique, as well as the structure of the Consultative Assembly.
