Abstract EN

This article - as its title indicates - deals with a topic related to the literary life of the Algerian women, in the past and present; by examining the elements represented in the participation of Algerian women in the literary field, the literary arts that they fought, and the political, social and cultural factors that prevented her creativity, especially in the past, with reminding examples of Algerian women who innovated in difficult circumstances.

The aim of the article is to give answers to important questions raised by the literary arena about the historically delayed presence of Algerian women in the field of literary creativity in general, despite some sources indicating the emergence of Algerian female names that broke the silence imposed by some factors, as the article will reveal.
