Abstract EN

This research seeks to study the phenomenon of morphological reversal in the Holy Quran, among its types is the reversal in the singular, dual and plural forms, by identifying the places in which the Quranic text has been modified from the dual to the singular or plural.

It then discusses the rhetorical connotations for which the Quran was modified from the singular or plural forms to the dual form.

It is concluded that this deviation from the apparent state is not intended to violate the rules of the Arabic language, but rather to reach the hidden rhetorical purposes and subtleties of technical references, which cannot be achieved with the usual style of speech.
