Abstract EN

This research aims to clarify the concepts of giftedness and the gifted child through different opinions, and to identify the methods of detecting gifted children in the light of the experiences and expertise of some Arab countries, as well as some foreign countries in order to work on developing a proposed vision for the discovery and care of gifted children that derives its elements from the experiences of some countries foreign.

this research relies on the descriptive analytical approach in terms of description and analysis in studying the means and methods of detecting gifted children with the aim of benefiting and developing the current reality in a way that contributes to improving the discovery of gifted children.

the research reached a set of results, the most important of which are: talent depends on the outstanding performance of the individual in relation to his peers in all academic and non-academic fields.

children in Arab countries in general and gifted children in particular need to accurate and continuous assessment of all aspects of personality, in order to identify their mental needs, abilities and to identify their talents.

at the end of his research, the researcher recommends a set of recommendations, including the following: calling on the colleges of education to pay attention to the preparation of modern standards and tests to detect gifted people, the need to issue laws and legislation that guarantee the rights of the gifted, and organize the care services required to be provided to him.
