Abstract EN

This research aims to study the feminist critical discourse in models belonging to the early Arab women’s criticism of Arab poetry, mainly, in the first three centuries in which Arab criticism started.

The research has been divided into an introduction and a preface.

The handled topics are: The beginnings of feminism in our Arab criticism, the development of that feminism, the victory of gender and feminist criticism, the victory for the self and feminist criticism, and the conflict of gender and feminist criticism.

The research reached a number of results, including: The feminist criticism of women was directed mostly to the man’s poetry in which the poet deals with women, describing the man relationship with the woman and the woman relationship with the man, and that the woman in her feminist criticism was affected by the poets’ attitudes in their poetry, negatively and positively, and not by the poets’ artistic abilities in their poetry.

That kind of feminist criticism was captive to the substantive aspects of poetry, and does not take into account the formal aspects in many of it.

It was a reparation by the woman for her feeling that society excluded her from the world of poetry.
