Abstract EN

This paper aims at shedding light on Sheikh Al-Majashi and his book: (Jokes in the Qur'an).

Despitehis affiliation with Al- Basria grammar school, he was clear in his approach which was basedon his rotation with scientific truth wherever it revolves, He may choose some of the Kufic terms andsometimes give them preference without criticism or insult, and without restriction and fanaticism.

His ultimate goal is wisdom and knowledge.

He also aims at clarifying the fact that the Kufic termwas not found to be an equivalent to the Basria term, but rather came to complement and clarify it.

Thus, this paper resists many of the suspicions that appeared in some narrations which strip the Kuficpen of its knowledge, and dress it the garb of imitation, confusion, and the intellectual luxury ofwhich it was sometimes accused from the exploitation of its terms in the time of grammatical ruling.
