The ICC works to protect children and combat the phenomenon of recruitment through judicial follow-up of persons responsible for this crime regardless of their official status or protesting compliance with the president's orders by initiating the case by referring the case by states, the attorney general or the Security Council to the court and imposing deterrent sanctions on them.
