com "The Image of the Muslim Hero in the Literature of “Alemad Al-asfahani” The personality of the hero represents the recognized virtues in society, especially the war virtues, so that the eyes can turn to them, attract attention, and stimulate the imagination.

The environment of the Crusades was a fertile environment in which the character of the hero represented because the literature of this era has gone on glorifying the heroes who fought in the midst of these wars, and have performed well in them.

Hence, literature recorded their names and surrounded them with an aura of sanctification and admiration, and immortalized them in an image of love to the soul, close to the heart, adorned by faith, and beautified by certainty.

The defeat that the Islamic nation suffered, by occupying its land and extending control over it by the Crusaders, needed a hero to rally around him and unify its ranks, and salvation would be in his hands by expelling the Frankish usurpers from the Islamic countries; for this urgent need heroes emerged.

They were the qualities of leadership and heroism.

They pledged themselves to stand in the face of the invaders aspiring to expand, and the Ummah woke up at their hands from its slumber.

The awakening that led to victories and culminated in the conquest of Jerusalem.

The nation is on the paths of salvation and purification.

The image of the Muslim hero was manifested by “Alemad Al-asfahani” in his poetry and prose, through the glorification of the Islamic leaders, and the drawing of the ideal image of the Muslim leader, with all his qualities and virtues, which enabled him to play a pivotal role in the events of the conflict between Muslims and the Franks.

The admiration of Muslims for the sacrifices of heroes for the sake of the nation, carrying its aspirations, preserving its religion, and defending its protection.

The heroism is the virtues and the highest values of society.

Therefore, the literature of baptism depicted the hero and bestowed upon him the qualities that make him the ideal in the Islamic community.

Courage was one of the most prominent of these qualities, and it includes courage, strength of determination, and steadfastness of heart, endurance, strength, and lethality of enemies.

These attributes appeared clearly in the image of the hero drawn by the General, and this is what I will try to explore in this research paper.
