Abstract EN

This research paper describes the interactive features of the written language across the electronic communicative scene of social networks.

The features of the transition in the communication system are evident in the dominance of the directverbal act to the written language with shifting contexts and of interactive, social, and pragmatic nature.

The researcher drew on the observation and description of Facebook Arabic within a problem that focuses on what are the characteristics and descriptions contributing to the mapping of multilingualism and social culture.

The researcher started from a hypothesis stating that contemporary communicative language of a written nature can transcend the scientific, formal and civilizational function of the font to the social, eloquent, and colloquial aspects of it.

Based on observation, description and analysis, the study concluded a number of characteristics concerning Facebook language, the most important of which are written and verbal mixing, conversation and openness of dialogue, multiple linguistic patterns (multilingualism), and other secondary features that reflect the socialization of this communicative pattern.
