While specialized dictionaries deal with definitions and translations of specialized terminology, general dictionaries along with the general language vocabulary, tend to include a huge number of terms.

It is noted, however, that labeling in the general dictionaries is not subject to clear criteria, which makes it difficult to attach the terms to unified field marks.

This may be due to the cognitive interdisciplinarity that forces some fields to overlap and integrate among themselves, making it difficult to determine the affiliation of a term in light of the interdisciplinarity that exists between fields with adjacent meanings.

Thus, this article discusses the following problem: what is field classification and what impact does interdisciplinarity have on its accuracy within the general dictionary? This paper shows to what extent field classification affects the labeling, as there are not quite established limits between the various disciplines as well as because of the interaction between general and specialized terminology, which makes it difficult to discern terms of words.
