Electronic dictionaries in general are considered one of the most important sources, especially in our time, as information technology has become sweeping in all fields, and the lexicography industry has gained its share, and electronic dictionaries vary like paper dictionaries, and this study aims to introduce type of them: The characteristics and feature that it must have, and in return its role in the teaching of the Arabic language to its children.

This descriptive study, based on the analysis, resulted in the necessity of using educational dictionaries as a basic method for teaching the Arabic language in general, and the necessity of creating electronic school dictionaries.

Because of its importance in the success of the educational process of learning, and therefore our reference to the mechanisms of its manufacture with a focus on the lexical material that must be available to serve the educational side to the fullest.
