Abstract EN

The present paper attempts to shed light on Algerian critical studies in the context of narratives.

It starts from substantial beliefs trying to accentuate the changes that have taken place in critical reading and the changes in the approaches drawn from Western critical studies.

It is practically based on some studies that were focused on the critique of short stories and novels adopting the element of time, attempting to reveal this element through temporal, idiomatic and objective divisions of it in the Algerian narrative discourse.
