Abstract EN

Bulling in the workplace is a phenomenon that has existed for many years; it has recently been recognized as a significant problem.

In the seventies of last century, the systematic study of bulling began in Scandinavia.

In 1970 “Olweus” was one of the first researcher to study bulling behavior among schools students in Norway and Sweden.

In the United Kingdom "Andréa Adams”, a British broadcaster and journalist was the first person to recognize the significance of adult workplace bulling in the workplace and its destructive influence on people’s lives and personalities.

Workplace bulling costs employers money and costs employees their health and usually their jobs, the negative effects of bulling behavior on an organization include loss of employee morale, physical diseases, anxiety, and a high level of absence due to depression; a poor reputation in the industry, a high level of attrition, loss of customers; decreased productivity and profit workplace violence; and legal action.
