Abstract EN

This study aimed to shed light on the training courses offered by the Jordan Library & Information Association (JLIA) to meet the training needs of librarians during the last twenty years.

The study followed the descriptive approach as it is the most appropriate for this study.

A questionnaire was distributed to, 85 participants in these courses, through an electronic link distributed through the JLIA.

83 valid questionnaires were used for analysis as they were statistically processed.

The study reached a set of results, including that the association has an active role in meeting the training needs of those working in the field of libraries and information, and that most of the participants in these courses have benefited in their field of work, developing their capabilities and increasing their qualification to do their work better.

The study recommended the need to strengthen and increase the training courses offered by the JLIA because of their importance and positive impact on participants.
