Abstract EN

We tackled the approach of UAE Legislator in regulating the status of the Judicial Expert with special provisions that distinguish him from other frontrunners who have subordinates depending on them.

We also chose to move beyond the general provisions in the law which regulate the relationship between experts and their subordinates.

We have demonstrated that the status of the Judicial Expert is regulated by specific legal provisions, including the civil liability that binds him/her to perform his/her obligations by him/herself and not through his/ her subordinate or others.

We also pointed out the most important aspects of the specificity of the civil liability of the Judicial Expert as well as its implications; such as expanding the scope of his/her responsibility, and limiting its prohibitions or evasion.
