Abstract EN

This research entitled “The Effect of Ignorance of the Rhetorical Methods Related to the Fundamentals of Jurisprudence on Atonement and Accusation of Heresy or Impiety” aims to identify the reasons that claim to be based on the rules derived from the Quran and Sunnah and that encouraged some students and scholars to exaggerate in accusing people of being disbelievers, disobeying Allah and unjustly breaching Islamic Law.

It indicates the most important reasons and explains some examples of misinterpretations of the words of Allah and his prophet (peace be upon him).

The study also explains that the accusation of people of being disbelievers in Allah and breaching Islamic Law does not rest on any genuine methodology that was set by the ancient scholars on the fundamental rules of jurisprudence (rules that are derived from the Quran and Sunnah).

Such rules prevent the exaggeration in this matter, and ignoring them would be a flaw in the consideration of the Quran and Sunnah.

Also, the study included realistic examples from our scholars’ ways in the four doctrines by returning to the rules that are derived from the Quran and Sunnah to understand the Islamic texts that relate to the same subject.

In this research, I relied on the deductive and inferential approaches through consideration of the Islamic texts and abstraction of what may be imagined by the claimant people who accuse others for being disbelievers in Allah or breaching Islamic Law.

This is added to showing the deductive and inferential aspects of the scholars.

The most important results are that the reason for exaggeration is the unawareness of the rules of public privatization, as well as the cases in which consideration takes the literal meaning of the speaker’s words, the connotative meaning, the eloquent analogy, and so on.
