Abstract EN

The Islamic state (during the era of prophet Mohamed), had a prestigious and a moral (spiritual) value.

Shari’a (Islamic law), which had an integral and embedded part in it, was the main concern of prophet Mohamed (PBUH) at that time.

However, the prophet (PBUH) had made great efforts in order to maintain the prestige of the Islamic state on both internal and external policy levels, whether with his supporters or opponents.

But Allah the Almighty did not take his pure soul until his state became significant among people of the Arab peninsula.

On the external level, different Arab clans and tribes flocked announcing allegiance to the state; whereas, on the internal level, he dealt with his opponents with justice and wisdom.

He taught his people (the believers) how to seek Allah’s satisfaction by following his orders and instructions from the holy book (the Quran).

This was the distinctive feature of the prophetic state: obeying Allah’s words and keeping His presence in the mind and the soul formed the straight path that people followed voluntarily.

Furthermore, such conduct created a self-regulating system where people followed state regulations without the need for an observer, as prophet Mohamed (PBUH) advised them to dignify state authority.

At that time, both obedience to Allah and adherence to state authority united to keep comprehensive order and maintain the state’s prestigious position.
