The topic of this article is a unique dance, rarely seen or known , and found only in the district of Jaalan in Oman .

In this article the author tries to aquaint his readers with the Hamboura dance by specifying many of its characteristics such as the type of music and songs which accompany it, some of it’s structural and performative aspects, the instruments used, and the type and number of people who perform it.
