This study deals with the image of childhood in Al-Tannoukhi's poems (also named Abu Al-Al'aa Al-Ma'ari who died in 449 A.

The children's pictures in Arabic poetry were mentioned by the scholar Abu Al-Al'aa Al-Ma'ari; however, they still need a technical study that embodies its characteristics and unveils its mysteries, depending on the criticism and the analysis of its poetic texts.

This paper investigates the world of childhood and the ideas of the poet into the field of research.

It falls into three parts: "Childhood and the Beginning", "Child and Life", and (Child and Death) and ends with a conclusion.

It is not easy to deal with the poetry of Al-Ma'ri because of its complexity and vagueness in addition to the vague ideas of the dark psychology of Abu Al-Al'aa; his thoughts in his philosophical and judgmental dimensions; and his view of life and death that shocked the recipient for the severity of his frustration and despair and boredom of his psyche.

The value of this work flows in the service of heritage, and enables the readers to reveal the poet's inclinations concerning the danger that threatens humanity and human rights.
