Taxation was one of the most important and important resources of the Ottoman Empire, which was collected after the Ottoman state divided it into various types.

The tax collectors, who were government employees, worked by all means to extract as much money as possible, Including feudalism, commitment and honesty.

Thus, the Ottomans showed particular interest in the subject of taxes and their collection in the areas under their control, since taxes were the sole source of the treasury of the state, as well as a proof of recognition of Ottoman sovereignty by those who paid them.

These taxes were imposed by the Ottomans on the Iraqi states, including Mosul, And some of them are taxes imposed by the Ottomans according to their jurisprudence and the wishes of their employees and their dependents and according to the exceptional circumstances that the country is subjected to wars, droughts, epidemics, diseases and floods.
