Abstract EN

In this article, the researcher tries to uncover the value dimensions (religion, language, culture, identity) in the policies of the French occupation of Algeria and its repercussions on the personality and national identity in the post-occupation period.

Although more than fifty-five years have passed since the independence of Algeria, The latter are suffering from the residues of Francophone policies and at different levels.

Here the debate must be raised about the real reasons behind the impact and persistence of these policies in Algeria.

For example, French is a second language in the country and its vocabulary is used in society.

this language in their work, despite the decline in the use of this language at the global level.
