Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the effect of using an interactive social stories in the development of emotional intelligence among the basic stage.

To achieve the objective of the study purposive sample consisted of induced (40) students in third grade spread tow sections were selected and distributed randomly, one of the groups represents the experimental group (20) students, and taught Arabic language using interactive social stories strategy whereas the other group represents the control group, consisted of (20) students, and taught Arabic language material using the usual way.

The tool study is represented by emotional intelligence test and after insuring tools significance and consistency, a pretest was applied two groups (both experimental and controlled) to insure the equality of them.

After applying the interactive social stories, a posttest was applied (both experimental and controlled).

Results showed positive impact of using the interactive social stories in developing of emotional intelligence for third graders through reaching the following results: also revealed there were statistically significant differences for the pre and post measurements of the performance of the sample on the emotional intelligence test scale, in favor post - performance measurement on the same scale compared to the pre - measurement of their performance on it.
