Abstract EN

The criminal responsibility age according to the Jordanian law is 7 years old and above.

Which means that the child is not legally responsible under this age.

However and after the latest modifications of the Jordanian juvenile law the criminal responsibility age is 12 years old and above.

Therefore and in order to guarantee the criminal protection for juveniles there is a critical need to reform the laws and legislation that guarantees fair trial procedures by the law enforcement and judicial personnel.

And through the reform of the law and understanding the gaps in this law for better improvement and more child friendly laws and procedures.
