Abstract EN

This study attempts to dissect the factors defining the Algerian popular movement as a societal protest action that emerged from a deadlock due to a series of bloody experiences in which several Arab societies are mired.

While considering the possibility of the transformation of this movement into a revised version of the Arab revolutions and drawing the harsh lessons that have resulted from this process, the study explores the nature of the movement, its tools and the reasons that contributed to its rise as well as the nature of the regime’s reception of its demands and representations.
