تسعى الدراسة، ومن خلال مقاربة تحليلية، إلى تلمس تحديات وآفاق التحول الديمقراطي في السودان في أعقاب نجاح ثورة ديسمبر/ كانون الأول 2019.
وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن نجاح الانتقال هذه المرة في ترسيخ الديمقراطية في السودان مرهون بأداء الطبقة السياسية السودانية بالرغم من فشلها المتكرر في التجارب السابقة.
فإذا فشلت مجددا، فإما ارتداد البلاد إلى الاستبداد أو انزلاقها نحو الفوضى.
Abstract EN
This study looks into the challenges and prospects of democratic transition in Sudan following the success of the December 2019 revolution.
It argues that the success of the transition and the consolidation of democracy in Sudan depends on the performance of the political class.
Despite repeated failures in previous experiences, failure this time will see the country reverting to tyranny or sliding into chaos.
