This researcher points out that the popular song is one of the most important aspects of the Palestinian popular heritage.

1'hen he devides these songs in usage into two categories : songs sung by men and songs sung by women.

As for their contents, the researcher notes that those songs orally depicted all important events in the Palestinian life eversince the beginning of this century.

He then concludes his article by presenting examples of relevant songs especially such songs that refer to the 1929 and the 1936 revolutions, and the 1948 war
