Abstract EN

The current research deals with (the aesthetics of decorative tendency in (Cocan) drawings, and studied the decorative trend as an effective concept and value in the philosophical and aesthetic thought, and its role in directing the mechanisms of action within its applications in Cocan drawings.

The research contains four chapters, the first chapter of which is concerned with the methodological framework of the research, representing With the research problem, its :importance and the need for it, the research problem was defined as follows Shedding light on the vocabulary of decorative tendency and its aesthetic impact in the drawings of (Cocan) as well as the chapter on The goal of the research The aesthetics of decorative tendency is known in the drawings of (Cocan) As for the research limits: - They included the followingFirst: Thematic Boundaries: A study of the aesthetic dimensions of the ornamental tendency and their representations in the artistic .trends of (Cocan) paintings .Second: Spatial boundaries: Europe .)Third: the temporal limits: (1889 - 1894 AD) As for the second chapter, it included the theoretical framework that contained two topics.

The first topic dealt with two axes, namely (the concept of beauty and aesthetics (references in thought, philosophy and art), and (the features of decorative tendency in expressive art and Kukan's drawings) and in conclusion to the theoretical framework, the pointers were discussed and drawn.

It can be used in the procedures of analyzing the research sample.

The third chapter contains the research procedures that included (the research community, the .)research sample and tool, and the analysis of the adult research sample [3] of a painting As for the fourth chapter, it includes the results of the research and its conclusions, as well as :recommendations and suggestions.

Among the most prominent findings of the research 1)That the decorative tendency of (Cocan) is based on intuition with a strong emotional, imaginative and mental power that diminishes in relation to it the powers of sense, so that the features of the shapes and sensual colors are transformed into semantics and meanings by virtue of the effectiveness of the imagination and its images focused on intuition and which are in line with the mind to be a working mechanism that acts from the ideal and symbolic forms It makes .the overall composition carry design spirit 2) (Cocan) tried to reach the core layer by decorating with pure, pure colors that are not mixed ( in his primitive style and distorting his shapes.

As for the conclusions, the researcher found: (Cocan) tried to liberate the color, line and the rest of the composition to a rhythm intertwined with the primitive feeling and the symbolism of the first human about life and its secrets in a composition that unifies feelings, sensations and .musical tones
