Image is considered as one of the creative requirements in the dramatic show, and its formation style varied from an exit to another according to the variety of the relatedness of the director and his treatments.

Because the director, in the dramatic script, bases on mental images that the playwright formed, then changes them into sensual images support the visual stuffs of the show.

So, reduction is considered as one of the treatments that the director seeks for in order to embody the dramatic images, which is an old style and renewing at the same time.

The Asian theatre implemented such a principle represented in the Japanese theatre, Naw and Kaboki, and during the old times in the Chinese and the Indian theatres.

Then the directors of the western contemporary theatre came to follow their steps, particularly (Mayer Hold, Arto, Krotowiski and Peter Brook), for the sake of forming and embodying their images; moving from imitating or simulating the style or making something new and unique.

The principle of reduction in the dramatic image had great ego in many directors round the world.
