The current research deals with (Sadism and its representations in contemporary body art), by studying the concepts of sadism in the products of contemporary body art for the period of time (1965-1984AD).

Therefore, in the first chapter, the researcher sought to clarify the research problem that was identified by answering the following question: "How is sadism represented in contemporary body art", and then the importance and need for research, as well as the goal of the research that is represented by the following: "The representations of sadism are defined in contemporary body art.

" Then the researcher concluded the aforementioned chapter by specifying the terms that are directly related to the title of the research and its objectives.

As for the second chapter, it included a presentation of the theoretical framework and indicators.

It consisted of two studies.

In the first chapter, an introduction to sadism was proven.

As for the second topic, it deals with the stylistic characteristics of contemporary body art.

The third chapter was concerned with monitoring the research community and the tool that included collecting information, so a sample was adopted in an intentional manner, and it reached (4) works that covered the limits of the research by adopting the descriptive and analytical approach for the purpose of analyzing them according to the axes of the analysis tool adopted by the researcher.

As for the fourth chapter, it included the results of the research, which included: 1- That sadism is latent in the human soul at all times and places as an aggressive instinct, and at different levels, and that the manifestation of this instinct differs from one person to another according to his personal readiness.

And then the conclusions that emerged through which the possibility of achieving the objectives of the research appeared through the tool designed by the researcher, including: 1- The products of contemporary body art that expressed cruel practices witnessed brutal violations of the human body, including torture, humiliation and insult that result in inflicting deep physical and psychological pain that the artist considers according to the point of His gaze (purification process) of pent-up psychological stresses in the subconscious and subconscious.
