Abstract EN

The current research is concerned with studying the plastic significance of animal ornamentation in the art of Islamic ceramics, through the study of decoration and stylistic diversity and the accompanying circulation and reception of aesthetic.

In order to achieve this mission, we relied on models of Islamic ceramics from the Fatimid era whose shapes are compatible with the concept of the studied significance.

Therefore, the research included four chapters.

The first chapter dealt with the research problem, which centered on the following question (What are the most important philosophical and plastic connotations of animal ornamentation in Islamic ceramics?).

The first chapter deals with the importance of research, the need for it, its goal, its limits, and the definition of terms.

As for the second chapter, it included the theoretical framework through a study of the philosophical and plastic connotations of Islamic ceramics, which ended with the indicators that the researcher concluded, while the third chapter included the research procedures represented by the research community and the research sample that amounted to (4) an artistic model.

As for the fourth chapter, it concerned with the research results, conclusions, recommendations and suggestions.
