English Abstract

The study aims to address the location of the Red Sea and its security, strategic, economic and social importance for the countries overlooking it, as it works to explain the impact of these factors on the countries of the Red Sea basin countries, specifically the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Sudan, by virtue of geographical proximity and continuous communication since ancient times, and this relationship has evolved to include commercial and scientific exchanges, financial aid and joint investments.

The importance of the study stems from the fact that it works to introduce relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Sudan and the possibility of developing these relations in the near and far future according to the available opportunities and capabilities represented in the financial capabilities of the Kingdom and its ability to open new markets internally and externally, and the cumulative experiences of the Kingdom in many local industries, Also, Sudan is characterized by vast agricultural lands, water potentials and human energies.

In addition to all of this, Sudan has animal wealth that is considered to be the largest in Africa and other mineral and oil resources.

All of the above are components of the Kingdom.

For Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Sudan, they can work together if efforts create a present and a bright future for the peoples of the two countries.

The method followed by the study is the descriptive analytical historical approach in order to reach results, which include the great potentials that are available in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sudan, the possibilities of benefiting from these capabilities through a thoughtful integration In many fields, it works on the welfare and development of the peoples of the two countries.

This could also be developed to integrate future regional integration that includes the countries of the Red Sea Basin, which constitutes the strategic depth for each of them.

And because it is an essential water link between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, and the seabed fortunes fall within the economic zone of the countries overlooking it, as it contains many minerals, in addition to the presence of oil on the Red Sea floor.
