Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the role of Libyan universities in achieving the requirements of sustainable development, where the study relied on questionnaire as a tool for collecting data, and the population of the study is a faculty member of Libyan universities, and the questionnaire was distributed to a random sample of the study population, and after giving the sample members an enough period of response, the number of (216) questionnaires was collected, excluded (5) questionnaires, and after analyzing the data and testing hypotheses the study found that there is a weakness in the level of contribution of Libyan universities in achieving sustainable development requirements.

The study recommended that Libyan universities focus their efforts on strengthening their role in achieving sustainable development in their various dimensions, which will improve the living situation in Libyan society and achieve a better life for its members while preserving the rights of future generations.
