أثر استخدام نموذج سوكمان الاستقصائي على تنمية مهارات التفكير الناقد في تدريس مادة الرياضيات لدى تلميذات المرحلة الابتدائية

Abstract EN

The study is an attempt to find out how far the Suchman inquiry model is effective for developing critical thinking skills when teaching math’s to primary stage female pupils.

The researcher used a two-group quasi- experimental research design.

She applied the experiment to 50 grade four female pupils in the primary stage in Mecca.

A teaching guidebook based on the Suchman model as well as a critical thinking test has been prepared.

The hypotheses have been examined through employing the t-test statistical technique.

The following results have been reached : There is no statistically significant difference at the (0.05) level between the mean score of the female pupils of the two groups (the experimental group (who studied through the Suchman model) and the control group (who studied through the traditional way) regarding the pre-application of the critical thinking test at the overall score level.

There are differences in the post-test between the control and experimental groups at the levels of the critical thinking skills (hypothesis forecasting- interpretation-derivation- deduction) in favor of the experimental group.

This latter result shows that the Suchman Inquiry Model has a positive impact on critical thinking skills when teaching math’s to primary stage female pupils.
