Abstract EN

The study aims at exploring the effect of the use of oral presentations in developing the practical efficiency in learning the Arabic language for non-native speakers and their attitudes towards it.

Therefore, the experimental method was used on a sample of (17) non- native learners of Arabic, from the beginner level at the French institute for the near East in Beirut.

The following tools were developed and used : oral presentation classes, a list of practical skills, and an observation checklist to measure those skills, and a questionnaire of attitudes towards oral presentations.

Findings showed : - High effect of the use of oral presentations in the development of practical efficiency in the sample of the study in the total and in each of its sub-skills -There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of students in the study sample in the pre and post application of the observation card regarding the practical efficiency of learning Arabic, due to the use of verbal presentation.

–The attitudes of the sample of the study towards the oral presentations in the post-application are positive in the total score, and in each of the stages (presentation, interaction with participants, evaluation), while neutral attitudes in each of the stages (planning for presentation,).

-There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the learners in the pre and post applications to identify their attitudes towards oral presentations due to the main variable of the use of verbal presentations, in favor of post application.
