Abstract EN

This study aims to investigate the existed governance framework at the University of Benghazi in Libya via the point of view of the administrative staff.

The study reveals statistical deviations in the aspects of the standards of governance due to some demographic factors such as type, qualification and years of experience.

Regarding the objectives of this study, a descriptive analytical method has been conducted by considering most of all employers reaching to 490 samples.

To determine the sample size of the study, a table of Krejcie and Morgan was used.

The random samples of 217 forms was selected.

Questionnaires were handed in and then the feedback received was 200 forms which processed using software of SPSS.

The results showed that the level of practicing governance was weak and it was ranked in descending order: laws ,organizational effectiveness, participation and work ethic.

The study also showed that there are statistical differences for the aspects of governance caused by the factor of gender and the absence of statistical differences among groups of governance, due to the factor of professional experience .Finally, the study presented a set of recommendations and proposed solutions to improve the performance of universities policy.
