The current study aimed at assessing training needs to develop the teaching performance of faculty members at al-Baha university in the light of the vision of the kingdom 2030.

the study depends on the descriptive analytical approach to study the literature, previous studies and the analysis of the national vision and its related programs to prepare a list of concepts and values related to developing teaching performance in the light of the vision 2030 ad, in the dimensions of vision (a vibrant society, a prosperous economy, and an ambitious homeland).

the questionnaire for assessing training needs to develop teaching performance was prepared including (39) items related to the dimensions of (planning curricula and teaching design, teaching strategies, treatments and teaching and educational activities, methods of assessing achievement in students, strategies for developing teaching performance self).

the validity and reliability were measured, and the alpha coefficient of Cronbach (0.834).

the sample of the study consisted of (180) faculty members at al-Baha university, chosen randomly according to the variables of specialization, gender, and years of experience.

the results of the study showed a high degree of importance for training needs which related to developing the teaching performance of the faculty members at the university.

the study showed that there is no statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample about the degree of importance of training needs refer to the variables of specialization, and gender.

the main recommendations of the study are employ methods of developing teaching performance within the university, including workshops, training courses, seminars, discussion societies and using social media, to raise awareness of the requirements for achieving the main goals of vision 2030 for the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the consequent development of teaching performance among the faculty members.
