Urbanization is the mirror of the society, since it represents a reflection of its value, features, customs and changes, which has an impact on its culture and eventually from its urban tissue.

political and social effects play an important role in changing the thoughts and culture of the society, as well as its economy, which create social mobility among its various classes, and reflect all of these into the particulars of its urban tissue.

therefore, the main aim of this research paper is the changes envisaged in cities urban tissue, which come as a result of the social mobility.

this paper focuses its study on the case of the urban tissue of Hadaeq al Qouba district in Egypt since the time of its establishment until the current situation.

the reason behind this choice is the fact that this district is the most appropriate example of the occurrence of demographic changes (population structure) and social mobility.

this will be accomplished through studying the concepts of research and identify the factors affecting the change in the fabric and the manifestations of this change, including measuring the impact of social mobility on the urban fabric of the region, to clarify the most prominent points of change in the urban fabric as a result of social mobility which will clarify the most distinguished area of change in its urban tissue.

this approach will enable us to extract broader standards and criteria that could be utilized in reevaluating the urban structure of the existing cities, and to propose recommendations, which could contribute to establishing guidelines for the process of urban growth of these cities in the future and in order to obtain more urban-balanced patterns.
