The current study aimed to identify the degree to which the College of Education at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, needed to develop its performance in light of the standards of the American Council CAEP.

The degree to which the responses of the study sample respondents were affected by the variables of gender, academic rank, work experience.

To achieve the study objectives, a questionnaire consisting of 25 paragraphs distributed across five dimensions was developed and validated, then were distributed to a sample of 47 male and female faculty members working at the college for the academic year 2019/2020.

The results of the study showed that the degree of respondents' appreciation of all five dimensions of the questionnaire was mediated, and that there was a statistically significant effect at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) attributed to the variable of academic rank, and in favor of the rank of assistant professor.

In light of these results, the study recommended the alignment with CAEP standards as leading indicators for developing college performance, and building a strong database of partnerships that the college needs for field training for its students.

It also recommended developing the conditions and requirements for admission to college programs to ensure the quality of candidates to join these programs.
