Abstract EN

Children are blessings from the almighty God which requires the family to preserve it by fulfilling its roles and responsibilities towards them.

The present study aimed at identifying the educational role of the family in the upbringing of children, as well as identifying the phenomenon of tongue illness and its impact on children and family, also providing educational methods to protect children from the tongue illness.

The descriptive analytical method was used as a research methodology by analysing books and everything related to the responsibilities of the family.

The research consists of four main topics, and it reached several results, including: The Muslim family has multiple functions in the upbringing of children and if it does not fulfil its required role, this can be a major factor that leads to children deviations.

Tongue lesions have a negative significant impact on children and society, which if not taken into account in the process of prevention and treatment, children will face a challenge, which will lead them to behavioural and moral deviations.

The educational role of the family is the effective element in directing children's behaviour towards a correct direction.

If the family does not know the correct preventive educational methods used in the protection of children and proper guidance way, as well as sympathy and underestimating some of the wrong behaviour of the children increases the deviation of the children and leads them towards the socially and religiously prohibited behaviours.

Among the results of the study, tongue illness are identified in: lying, backbiting, gossip, insulting, mocking, swearing, obscene speech, exposing people's secrets, insulting, praising and swearing, accusation, provocation, etc.
